Friday Night Sew In

Thanks to Wendy for hosting the Friday Night Sew In again last night.

I had a bit of a short evening because I had one specific task I wanted to do: catch up on the Sewcialites blocks. I had two new blocks to finish.

Block #27, Earnest
Block #26, Courage
Some of my fabrics are pretty funky because I'm using scraps. At the end, when I am doing the final layout, I'll remake the blocks I don't like.

I also made another copy of Block #15, Genuine.
And I made 4 new log cabin blocks for the corners. I didn't like the scrappy random look of the original set.

  1. Your blocks are beautiful. I like the fabrics especially the ones you used for Block 15.

    1. Thanks. I sort of choose fabrics based on what pieces are large enough. Some of the combos are a little strange, but overall I've been happy with the quilt.

    1. Yes, I was very focused. It helped that I already had fabric cut out from a zoom meeting the day before.

  3. You got a lot done in your short evening. I like how you used the plaids in the first two blocks.

    1. Thanks Susie. It has helped to have a goal rather than just doing whatever sounds like fun at the moment.
