It's been about six weeks since I last made a sewing project list. I've primarily been spending my time working on staining the wood in the basement, which is nearly finished. I've blogged about it over at the house blog here.
We had company in town last month so I ended up packing up my mountain of fabric in the guest bedroom. I had six boxes of fabric!! Once we've finished moving around the furniture, I'll start unpacking and ironing them.
Last Friday, I had planned to participate in Friday Night With Friends, but instead, we ended up spending our older dog's last day with her. I was pretty sad over the weekend so I went and hid up in my sewing room and sewed for the weekend.
My list for next time is:
- Finish my Pink blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.
- Figure out what quilt project to start next.
- Start quilting all my quilt flimsies once the long arm is delivered.
Your lap quilt surely does not look like it was made from leftover pieces. It is a beauty. So sorry to read about loosing your dog. I know how painful that is, many times over. Keep on stitchin
ReplyDeleteThanks Kat. I was fortunate to get those nice scraps from a local guild member. Since they were so nice I decided it would be worth the effort to turn them into a small quilt.

DeleteLovely lap quilt. Sorry about your pup, it is so hard to say goodbye to furry friends. My cat is 16 and has seizures, I'm spending more time with her on my lap.

DeleteI love your latest flimsy. It looks perfect. Getting a new long arm, huh? I was pretty intimidated by mine until I forced myself to just start quilting. With each finish, I learn just a little more. I got it last summer but only finished one quilt. New Year Resolution was to finish at least 12 quilts. So far I have quilted 3 and am in process of binding second one. Have number four lined up! Good luck with all your projects! They look fantastic!
